Description Of The Type Of Choreography Used
The choreography is, as the title states, pure and simple. The first part includes some moving, or dynamic, stretching done standing. The second part is primarily static stretching, held 20-30 seconds per stretch, and is done reclining or seated on the floor. A towel is used for assistance in some of these stretches.
Additional Equipment Needed
A mat and a folded towel.
Music
Instrumental.
Easy To Follow?
Yes, as usual, Karen gives clear instruction, and the camera moves to her side and behind her to show her positioning.
Additional Comments
Karen uses a calming, almost non-expressive tone which is effective for this type of class. After viewing it a few times, one could easily do the DVD by just listening. There is some instruction in deep breathing. Karen suggests using this video 3 times per week either by itself for a body wake-up or after exercise when the muscles are warm for greater flexibility.
